A Cathartic Second Full Moon in Capricorn 21st July 2024

This Full Moon on the 21st is a culmination of many things. It's the second of two full moons in Capricorn this month, which makes its message all the more potent. You may have got a flavour of what is ready to be let go of or end at the last full moon in Capricorn on June 21st but this cycle is larger than this... it harks back to 6 months ago with the new moon in Capricorn on January 11th but also in my opinion much further back to 2008.
Why? This Full Moon is at the critical degree of 29 degrees of Capricorn, the last degree of a sign and therefore heightened. Full Moons already signify endings but at the last degree, this is really emphasised. PLUS the Full Moon is conjunct Pluto at 0 degrees of Aquarius which is preparing for the last time to enter Capricorn where it will hit 29 degrees before it moves out of the sign for good since 2008 for over 200 years.
So what does that mean? So many things, it depends where Capricorn is in your chart but think back to 2008 - what was starting for you then? What themes in life were transpiring that are now coming to an end? This can also be seen on a world scale. Because it's Pluto it's probably been transformative, painful and deep. This weekend and for the rest of the year we are wrapping these themes up. Some uncomfortable truths may come to light around this situation. It may be a cathartic release where we have to mourn what we have let go of and focus on where we are headed now.
This Full Moon is a portal to a new way of being, a new system, a new start - but first, we need to let go of the old. It has some helpful energies sextile and trine Neptune at 29 degrees Pisces - again signalling the end of an illusion or dream maybe and a wide trine and sextile to Saturn at 19 degrees of Pisces helping us to unpick the structures of the past and put in place new ones that will serve us for years to come. Right now we are being asked to forego short-term comfort for long-term security or vice versa.
