Balance, Boundaries & the Myth of Perfect Harmony in Libra Season

When we think of Libra, we often imagine perfect balance: the scales in perfect symmetry. But the truth is, balance is never static. Just like the tides, it’s always in motion. What feels balanced one week might feel unsteady the next. Libra Season invites us not to chase perfection, but to pause, notice, and restore harmony for this moment.
To prepare, we’ll begin with a simple breath practice—Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing)—to bring your nervous system into balance right here and now.

Balance Practice: Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing)
Sit comfortably with a tall spine.
Rest your left hand on your lap. With your right hand, use your thumb to close your right nostril.
Inhale slowly through the left nostril.
Close the left nostril with your ring finger. Release the right nostril and exhale fully.
Inhale through the right nostril.
Close the right nostril, release the left, and exhale.✨ That’s one full round. Continue for 1 to 5 minutes.
This practice balances the nervous system, clears the mind, and helps you arrive in the present - because balance begins here, not in some ideal state.

Self-Inquiry Questions (through the lens of “right now”):
Where in my life do I feel most balanced today? Where do I feel out of balance?
In this season, do I tend to give more than I receive - or receive more than I give?
How do I know, right now, when I’m overextending myself?
What beliefs or fears are keeping me from receiving more fully in this moment?
What small boundary could I set this week to bring more harmony?
Balance is not a finish line. It’s a living, breathing relationship with the present. When we release the myth of perfect balance, we create space to adjust, soften, and realign again and again. Libra’s gift is reminding us that harmony is a practice, not a destination.
