Week 15th to 21st April 2024

This week is a mixed bag with the energy beginning to shift from eclipse season near the end of the week when the Sun moves into Taurus and also the big astrological event of the year of Jupiter / Uranus conjunction. At the same time, there is a hangover from eclipse season still waiting to be addressed in terms of our wounds (which makes me sound like a broken record) -  what hurts and what needs to be addressed to heal. Repetition is the theme of April.  Practice makes perfect.  We need to know what hurts to heal it. 

On Monday/Tuesday depending on where you are in the world we have a Mercury retrograde conjunct Chiron at 19 degrees of Aries, which already happened on March 21st so some themes around reflecting on our wounds, how we speak and communicate, how we learn and teach, what we believe and our thought patterns may come up again. This won't be resolved fully till early May when we have the final conjunction between these two but it is the midpoint so things may become clearer as we are in it fully. 

On Wednesday or Thursday Venus conjuncts the North Node at 15 degrees of Aries, which may again throw up some themes from the eclipse last week, especially around relationships but it's a nice time to focus on love, pleasure and beauty.

The weekend is action-packed with Mars at 21 degrees of Pisces sextile the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction in Taurus, which after last week's tough Saturn/Mars conjunction may just bring some opportunities and help to lighten the load.  The challenge isn't over yet but we get some help with some potential quantum leaps forward.  

The big event of the week - Jupiter conjunct Uranus at 21 degrees of Taurus - doesn't necessarily mean that something will happen on that day. Rather it's the start of something.  Maybe you feel it personally, maybe you see it collectively in the world.  But it's an exciting (or overwhelming depending on your astrological make-up) time of breakthroughs, expansion, and growth.  

With the Sun square Pluto, however, there may be things we have to confront that are not comfortable, especially in terms of power dynamics.  What have we believed in terms of growth that is not helpful?  How can we do it differently so that abundance in the world is more equal?  This is the start of a new 14-year cycle around how we grow and expand our resources including land and food. And it also gives us a flavour of the next 20 to 30 years with Pluto in Aquarius.  Are we ok with where things are going?  

The sun also moves into Taurus at the weekend marking the end of eclipse season and allows us to ground everything that has been brought up for us.  Venus conjuncts Chiron at 20 degrees of Aries late Sunday or Monday next week, which again makes us aware of what we want and what we do not. What relationship wounds do we need to address in order to heal?

Another dynamic week with the polarity of excitement and growth and internal reflection necessary to get through.
