Week 7th to 14th of April 2024

The powerhouse month of April is not letting up! We start the week with a Solar Eclipse at 19 degrees Aries conjunct Chiron and Mercury on the 8th or the 9th depending on where you are in the world.  Solar Eclipses are New Moons but while New Moons usually signify a new beginning the Eclipse energy makes it all a bit hazy (and eclipsed).  

While this period sets the theme for the next 6 months and can bring rapid change we don't really know where we are headed yet.  Things can seem uncertain.  With the Eclipse conjunct Mercury (the planet of communication, thinking, technology and short-distance travel) and Chiron (the wounded healer), we may be asked to look at old wounds from the past that this period could be stirring up.  We can't ignore the past before entering the future.  Look at the belief systems and thought patterns you are carrying so that you don't repeat things that no longer serve you.

The whole month of April feels like the start of something but we are not quite there yet.  Looking back I think April will be a pivotal month for many of us but right now we just need to ride the waves of this astrologically overwhelming month as best we can.  We can feel something buildings, we can feel potential moving forward but now is not the time to impulsively take action just to feel like we are going somewhere.  Take this restless energy and revise, research, and rethink.  Write ideas down so you can come back to them.  Journal.  Talk to people.  Learn from your past and others.  Share your experiences with others so they can learn from you.

The 10th/11th bring a Saturn/Mars conjunction at 14 degrees of Pisces, which adds to the feeling that our goals are impossible. We feel blocked or hit a wall.  But hard work is rewarded once we move past this date. Keep going, step by step, even if you're not clear where that is just yet. 

On the 12th/13th we have a Sun/Mercury Rx conjunction (Cazimi) which may bring some clarity about the things we have been chewing on over this period.  Again on this date, write aha moments down.  Our minds are moving fast so catch those thoughts before acting on them.  There may be some gems there for later. 

The week ends with a Mars semisquare Pluto, which can indicate power struggles.  Over the weekend take some time out to breathe.  Next week the fun continues with the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction becoming exact on the 20th/21st. We have felt this all month and this theme of breakthrough, breakdown and the beginning of an opening and expansion has been sitting in the background this month.  For some, this is exciting, for others anxiety inducing.  Try not to resist the changes that may be happening in your life and around you.  You can only control how you react to them.
