Week 4th March to 10th March 2024

February and March have one thing in common. They are both months that are transitions in what is to come in April, May and June, when things will pick up the pace to a new level. March will also give us a flavour of things that are to come, not just in the middle of this year but also as far out as 2026.

Rick Levin sums this month up beautifully by saying "March is a complicated month, filled with alternating moments of hope and disappointment. Depths of disenchantment are followed by waves of optimism. It seems as if we are surely making progress only to be disillusioned by circumstances that are beyond our control. Our work is cut out for us; we must learn to manage the real-world events in our lives without letting go of our dreams as we oscillate between Saturnian practicality and Neptunian idealism."

There is a lot of Neptune/Pisces and Saturn energy activated this month. Neptune builds the dreams and Saturn is the reality check that comes afterwards to enable us to make it real. The first week of March is like a dance between these two concepts of logic and illusion, reality and fantasy. This is a theme that on some level continues till 2026 when both Neptune and Saturn enter Aries - then we will see, which dreams become real and which become a wakeup call to what was never real. We start the week of with one of the reality checks with Mercury at 19 degrees Pisces sextile Uranus at 19 degrees Taurus, which could come with a breakthrough in thinking. With the Moon in Capricorn on Monday and Tuesday things also become a bit more real.

We may have to deal with some power struggles mid-week as the Sun at 16 Pisces semi squares Pluto at 1 Aquarius. There is some hope from Mars at 17 Aquarius sextile Chiron at 17 Aries so the fury we may feel could have some healing potential if we are able to detach long enough not to let our emotions run the show. The Moon in Aquarius should help with that.

Friday and Saturday we enter the realm of illusion again. Things could get murky, and it may be hard to know what is real. Use the weekend to go inward. To reflect, to write down your dreams through poetry or create an artistic vision board. With Mars at 19 Aries square Uranus at 19 Taurus, there may be aggressive, unexpected forces around us that are out of our control. Things may burn down around us. Use the Moon in Pisces energy to swim in the waters of the unknow. Soothe yourself with music, poetry, imagination.

The New Moon at 20 degrees Pisces on Sunday is a powerful one. If you know your chart look at where 20 degrees Pisces is to see where this new beginning is happening for you. New Moons are all about new beginnings, but this new beginning may be sowing seeds that won’t be fully realised till February 2026. This New Moon is in the middle of Neptune and Saturn, further emphasising the theme of dreams and reality - how do we begin? With Mercury just newly moved into Aries we are really getting a flavour of what is to come. You may even get an opportunity of a breakthrough with Uranus sextile the New Moon. All this is building towards the Eclipse season at the end of March and through April - Eclipses always bring change. But that's another blog for another time.
